The Scent
Bergamot opens it - sharp and clean, the smell of a good day before the heat sets in. Underneath runs salt water and wet stone, the mineral note of a place that stays cooler than the air above it. Amber and cedarwood give it depth without weight. Musk is the part that lingers, the trace that stays on your skin after you're out of the water and walking back.
It's a full day in a scent - the anticipation, the plunge, and what's left when it's over.
The Full Routine
Steel Quarry is built as three products tuned to one scent, each doing its part.
The soap runs medium grit - enough pumice to take off a day outdoors without taking off skin. It's built on Bearsville's cold process base of saponified organic olive, coconut, sunflower, sustainable palm, and shea butter oils, with pumice powder and kaolin clay handling exfoliation and oil control. Organic sugar adds a boost to the lather.
The deodorant holds through the walk back - aluminum-free, talc-free, and baking soda-free, formulated with magnesium hydroxide, zinc ricinoleate, and activated charcoal for 24-hour protection.
The moisturizer puts back what the water and the sun took - an emollient-rich formula built on avocado, coconut, sweet almond, grapeseed, and abyssinian oils.
