The best summer days aren't planned. They're the ones that open up when something falls through — an afternoon that was supposed to be full and suddenly isn't. The kind where you end up somewhere good without having tried.
Private Cabana is that day in a bar. White florals that don't ask for attention. Coconut and vanilla gone warm in the sun. Amber and musk that feel less like fragrance and more like somewhere you've already been.
The Scent
Clean white florals arrive first - present without being loud, the kind of opening that suggests leisure rather than announcing it. Creamy coconut and vanilla build underneath, warm and slightly sun-worn. Amber and light musk settle in last, adding a final layer of ease that stays with you past the rinse.
It's a summer scent, but not the obvious one. Not citrus and salt. The slower version.
What's in the Bar
Private Cabana is built on Bearsville's cold process base - saponified organic olive, coconut, sunflower, sustainable palm, and shea butter oils. The glycerin stays in. The lather is dense and rinses clean without stripping.
Two ingredients go beyond the standard formula.
Vanilla bean powder - ground from real vanilla beans. It carries a warmth and depth that synthetic vanilla approximates but never quite lands. In a cold process bar it distributes through the formula, contributing subtle texture alongside genuine scent character.
Organic coconut milk - adds creaminess to the lather and an extra layer of conditioning. The natural fat content in coconut milk works alongside the base oils to leave skin feeling smooth rather than tight after rinsing.
The bar performs the same way every Bearsville bar does - because the foundation is identical. The scent profile and lather character are entirely its own.
The Bearsville Bars
Born in the Catskill Mountains, where the landscape is rugged, the air is fresh, and craftsmanship counts for something. Bearsville Soap Company has been at this for over a decade - cold process, small-batch, glycerin intact. One bar at a time, one customer at a time. No shortcuts, no fillers, no corners cut.
Once you go real, you never go back.
